Surprise Overload...

Posted by Alicia Ann Lip
Took the day off for both of us,. Finally, we are able to relax and do absolutely nothing, no berry, no iphone, no nothing, just the 2 of us enjoying each other company. Agreed that we go to the beach on his birthday just to relax/swim. Booked a room for him as a surprise at Amara Sanctuary Sentosa for one night, a retreat getaway. Drove over to his place quite late around 130pm to drag him to the beach, was unsuccessful. In the end, we ended up just watching tv (man vs wild) in bed as the weather was rainy. Told him a few times, "baby, can we go to the beach? i wanna swim", he responded a few times too saying, "baby, it is wet! the sands is all wet..." Sigh.

Not sure how we ended up in Macpherson Rd instead! Tailored some shirts for him, good offer. Time was ticking for me, as I watch the time pass by really quickly. It was 630pm. =( As I saw the sunset heading back to home, told him again, "can we go swimming now?" Then he said, "Of cos, let get Chloe to swim with us Downstair..." URgh! Why is it so difficult? Anyway, I gave up!

We went home, and I demanded him to Hurry up to go swim, as he was changing, I told him to bring a pant for dinner too. Confused, he said, "Err, we are just going downstair? why pants?" I said, "I'm going to bring you OUT to swim... just pack up and stop asking qns!" He said," err, so much chlorine and go straight to Tiffin room (raffles hotel for dinner), how we goin to shower!?"

Enough qns, I drove him to Sentosa and at the entrance to pay fee, I got snooked by the damn bitch, asking me for Room Key if not, it is not free. I had to quietly take out the key then.. she Blew it for me! Damn it. My baby was shocked, and said, "Baby!! we have a room here!! WTH..! Argh!! We could have stayed here the whole day!" Then i responded, "You didnt want to go to the beach!! Kept scolding me saying it is WET!" He was banging and screaming in the car, asked him "Do u know which hotel we are going then?", "Siloso beach resort?" Then i said, "Close". I turned Left over to "Amara resort" and he went mad.. that was priceless. Loved that. =) Anyway my surprise was finally over, happy with our comfy room and we went swimming in our Peaceful sky pool. so quiet and calm.. watching sunset.. aw..perfect setting. He said, "this is way better than Phuket, next time we wanna getaway this is the place to be..."

We skipped tiffin room as it was too far, and we wanted to spend more time in the room, so we went to Fish market (greenwood) instead for $1 oyster, and yummy mussels. Yum. Rushed back to our lovely hotel, told him to go SMoke, and he was like, "why baby? OHhhh" Very disciplined, he went to balcony to smoke and close the curtains, so that i can prepare my very own baked "Cheesecake". Baked the night before for his fav new york cheesecake with lemon zest. Yum. He had to smoke like 2 sticks (tar overdose) before he could come back in. Cake all lighted up and fresh =) Glad he liked his cake, but abit full from dinner. Oh well, it was gone in like 3 days.

While he was eating his slice, i told him, "baby there is one last surprise for you.. and it is the main one I wanna give u" Looking anxiously around the room for hidden clues, "baby, so many surprises in a day.. cant digest.. " haha. Brought out a special birthday card (voice recorder) for him, in there, shows a picture (shown in this photo here) for him to guess the background. Card states "Guess where we are going?". He was like,,, "errr.. the kid looks too dark for vietnam.. err" , Then i said, "Press play baby" , it says with my recorded voice, "Boracay PHilippines!!!!" He pressed it a few times, and was like, "err I heard Philippines?" What is that other word.. Urgh! I had to say, "baby it is near Cebu!" Then his face light up... (-___-"). Anyway, I'm happy to see him like this. No stress, so calm and peaceful.. Surprises, surprises, surprise... i love surprises. =)

Woo hoo! 7 days in boracay next wk! Wala!

Starbucks Grande...

Not sure why Starbucks labelled me as "Regular", when I only patriotise them like once a week maybe, not always. Probably they just remember me as Alicia! The gal who cant drink Iced Chocolate with normal milk, only Soy milk goes easy on my stomach, but then again, not in excess. Happy to be remembered though, at least not in a stalking way. I love my polariod photo with the staff! Up proudly on the Board. =)

Damn, why not regular in Siglap...hmm..

XXL Pizza

Posted by Alicia Ann Lip
Haha, finally I am the one who brings my baby around for Food! This is the xXL Pizza at Greenwood, 21 inch size at only $44. Woo! Who can finish that!? Unfortunately, it was US. But I liked how I keep my baby anxious on waiting for our Pizza to be ready and spread on our tiny table. No plates needed. Obviously, I ordered the vegetarian, and he had his Parma ham (healthy choice to pepperoni), if only there were more rocket leaves... Would definitely go there again! Right baby? this time.. Pasta...

Geraldine/Sharon wedding weekend

Posted by Alicia Ann Lip
We were late for Geraldine wedding (swissotel) as usual on saturday haha, but it was good fun. We were all dressed up for the occasion (James bond theme), loved it. The bride/groom were actually very sporting and did their corny acts yet enjoyable. Get to catch up and see all my ex Bloomie mates too. The only funni thing was that Phototaking were during the 2nd and 3rd dishes served, very strange. Oh well, who can complain when there is good food, great company and a very joyful wedding...
Drinks after at Equinox, biz was quite quiet hmmm...

Sharon wedding was on Sunday morning at the Hort Park, a part of Singapore that I have not seen. Looks very much like a Science lab with all the "testing" experiments. Late again as usual, but all good, at least Sharon was really happy to see us there, and Jeanette too. Food was from "purple sage" (tricia works there) was pretty average. Weather was Hot, but despite all that, I get to see Sharon in her purest. haha. Congrats to sharon, and thanks for inviting us...

Geraldine's Hen night...

Morning Golf, Afternoon High Tea

Posted by Alicia Ann Lip
Woke up really early just to play golf with Lovelyn, at 745am, just in case she comes early to pick me. But instead, she overslept, which I suspected. Haha. Must be the late night drinks with her own frds. Drove off in my mom's car to go driving range at Laguna CC, till my phone rang. Love sounded pretty drained out from her indulgence in her liqour. She was still very eager, and so we met up at 10am at NRCC. Our first few shots in the first 2 holes, wont that great, but it got way better after that! In such great form that day.. pleased with myself, got a hang of using my woods and driver, ball flew high, straight and pretty far for my standards =). Tiring but most fulfilling, especially when we both put in our balls at the parting green...on the 9th hole, it was great. Refreshing morning.

Rested before I went for high tea at St regis with Cooki and clee at 3pm . Food was disappointing, too sweet for my liking. Thank goodness there is 25% off and platimum service from our waiter, who gave me 4 extra springy rolls and 3 curry puffs. But always great company from clee/cooki, talked and laughed till 6pm. Time to go for Pedicure..and relaxed my tired feet, free drink complimentry from the manager at Thai express siglap too, watermelon/lime ice blend. So many ppl taking care of me today... (^___^)

Yakitori Sunday BBQ

Posted by Alicia Ann Lip
Never really prepared for a Bbq before, and this is like my first time helping zz out with the chicken, pork, leek, prawns, chicken/pork livers, etc. Jabbing them with wooden sticks for Yakitori.. with my darling's miracle sweet sauce. Very impressive.
Too bad I didnt bring my camera along to take pics of all the huge spread of food. It was a small gathering as it was love's birthday, it was fun.. quiet and cosy. We swam before the bbq started to relax, nice. But kinda regret on eating so much livers, abit scared now =S
